“Frog Went A Courtin” is one of the popular American nursery rhymes and folk-song that was originated from Scotland.

The rhyme was first seen in Wedderburn’s Complaynt of Scotland in1548 which was named “The Frog Came To Myl Dur” (“Myl Dur” is a scots Language word). It was first recorded in 1611 in Thomas Ravenscroft.
